Yemeni President leaves for home concluding official visit
Later the Yemeni President in the company of President Isaias headed for Massawa through the Serejeka - Filfil Solomuna road during which he observed the highway constructed on the basis of the nation's internal resources and subsequently the Massawa International Airport .
President Isaias , ministers and other officials of the government and the PFDJ saw off the distinguished guest on departure on Massawa International Airport .
Speaking at a press conference in Asmara yesterday, President Isaias Afwerki said that the Yemeni leader's visit is a continuation of the cooperation between the two sisterly countries aimed at discussing and exchanging views so as to push forward the slow-paced bilateral cooperation in different domains at the governmental or peoples level of both countries. The Yemeni President on his part told reports that the two leaders would discuss bilateral relations and ways of its development, in addition to exchanging views on different topics involving economic, trade, political and security matters. Moreover, President Ali Abdalla Saleh stated, both sides would assess previously concluded agreements and especially discuss the issue of security in the Southern Red Sea .
The Yemeni leader went on to indicate that both leaders would hold discussions on ways of expanding existing cooperation in investment regarding the fisheries sector and others, namely trade and investment, as well as regional and international issues, particularly the latest developments in the Horn of Africa.
The high-level Yemeni delegation headed by President Ali Abdalla Saleh comprises the Yemeni Foreign Minister, Dr. Abubaker Abdalla Al- Khurbi , the Minister of Electricity, Dr. Ali Mohammed Al- Mejur and the Minister of Fisheries, Eng. Mohammed Ibrahim Sukeyiri , as well as members of the Yemeni parliament and other officials. |
